TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys did the opposite. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would be a good addition when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.
Pair those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
This is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You put money in, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you deposit.
